General Manager
Originally from Worcester, Massachusetts, Michael Ashley brings 29 years of restaurant industry experience to his role as General Manager at Tap House Social. His career began in the kitchen, where he spent many years as a Chef before transitioning to Front of House management a decade ago. Since joining FMK three months ago, Michael has worked at both Bluefin and now Tap House Social, where he first came on board as a Front of House Manager.
Michael enjoys the family-like environment and the high standards that FMK sets for its team. Outside of work, he’s a dedicated family man who loves spending time with his wife and children. A passionate sports fan, Michael brings his enthusiasm to Tap House Social—cheering loudest for his hometown team, the Boston Celtics.
Brenda Alvarez
Culinary Manager
Born in Dallas, Texas, and raised in the heart of Orlando, Florida, Brenda Alvarez has been part of the FMK family for eight years. She joined the team when Bluefin Grill & Bar first opened its doors, starting as a prep cook with a passion for learning.
Throughout her journey, Brenda has worked in the kitchens at Bluefin Grill & Bar, Bonifay Country Club, Evans Prairie Country Club, Chop House at Lake Sumter, Coastal Del Mar Seafood Grill, Harvest Restaurant & Bar, Bella Vita Italian Steakhouse, and Prime & Ember Signature Steakhouse before taking on her newest role as Culinary Manager at Tap House Social.
Brenda credits FMK with changing her life by helping her discover a true passion for the culinary world. For her, there's nothing more rewarding than creating great food and seeing guests smile while enjoying a meal with family and friends.
As a proud single mother, Brenda says FMK has been much more than a company—it has been a family that supported her and helped her thrive. That sense of family has extended to her children as well. Four of her kids have worked for FMK over the years as bussers, hosts, prep cooks, and line cooks, creating lasting friendships, unforgettable memories, and even relationships that have become family.
Today, Brenda is excited to lead the kitchen at Tap House Social and continue sharing her passion for great food, teamwork, and genuine hospitality with every guest who walks through the door.
